Job Overview:

The State University of New York Upstate Medical University is seeking a highly skilled Comprehensive Diabetes Care Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Diabetes and Endocrine care team, this individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:

The Comprehensive Diabetes Care Specialist will assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients in accordance with predetermined joint practice protocols. This will involve evaluating, diagnosing, and formulating treatment plans, as well as educating and counseling patients and their families. Additionally, the Specialist will prescribe medications and perform other responsibilities within the scope of practice.

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a licensed/registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a Master's Degree and current National Certification. NPI number and Medicare enrollment are also required. Prior experience in the specialty area is preferred.
