Job Title: Manager, Sales Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Sales Finance to join our team at Promotion In Motion. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and decision-making support to our Sales Channel leaders and broker partners to achieve profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute financial plans and forecasts for Sales Channels and broker partners, including trade spend, revenue, gross margin, and SG&A.
  • Analyze sales performance and trade spend effectiveness to identify opportunities and risks and provide recommendations to optimize profitability and ROI.
  • Partner with Sales Channel leaders and broker partners to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, market share gains, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial guidance and support for contract negotiations, pricing decisions, trade terms, and customer profitability analysis.
  • Manage and monitor trade spend accruals, payments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reviews and business updates to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices to enhance the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis, preferably in the CPG industry.
  • CPG experience in the food, candy, snacking, and/or confectionery categories: an inventory-based business.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience providing financial analysis to sales teams that include forecasting, P&L, ROI, and profitability.
  • Experience with sales finance, including trade spend, trade promotions, analysis, and ROI.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and communicate insights and recommendations effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools. Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • High degree of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
