Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and spiritually gifted individual to serve as a Chaplain Candidate in the U.S. Army Reserve. As a Chaplain Candidate, you will be a seminary student pursuing a graduate theological degree in your current faith tradition or belief.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual guidance and support to Soldiers, their dependents, and DoD civilians
  • Learn to serve the spiritual needs of the Army Family under the supervision of a senior Army Chaplain
  • Develop the skills to advise Commanders and provide pastoral care

Eligibility Requirements
  • Obtain an ecclesiastical endorsement from a DoD-recognized faith group

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Not be older than 36 years old (waiverable on a case-by-case basis)
