Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Project Manager to join our team at Symbotic. As an essential member of our Site Installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of our automation systems on customer sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain installation Pre-Construction processes, including Stage Gate 5, autonomous layouts, and installation page turns.
  • Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Site Installation teams to ensure consistent deployment of installation processes across the program.
  • Ensure systems are installed as designed, meeting high quality and safety standards, while achieving efficient and timely installations.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across multiple organizational functions to schedule and run Stage Gate 5 processes, ensuring customer and Symbotic deliverables are met.
  • Leverage expertise in layout processes, coordinating the deployment of autonomous layout programs, performing layouts when necessary, and training new resources.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, ensuring detailed requirements are understood and followed throughout installation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Installations teams to update program-level documentation with regular feedback from the field.
  • Maintain site revision control, ensuring individual installation sites have the most up-to-date documentation revisions.
  • Foster a culture of collaborative continuous improvement to deliver customer systems meeting performance and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial, robotic, engineering, or trades roles.
  • Experience working alongside various functional teams and trades contractors preferred.
  • Industrial/robotic automation projects and ASRS projects experience preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship skills, along with ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to provide critical technical thinking and drive process improvements using metrics and data analysis.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 80% of the time, with frequent walking, reaching, and climbing required.
