Job Summary

Avanti/Croda is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical and production systems. Your primary goal will be to improve production efficiency, reduce manufacturing costs, and enhance safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead Reliability Analysis to identify areas for improvement
  • Perform and coordinate Root Cause Analysis on failed equipment and systems
  • Develop and execute corrective actions to reduce equipment unplanned downtime
  • Manage Avanti's CMMS and ensure accurate data entry and reporting
  • Participate in project inception and commissioning, including authoring IQ/OQ/PQ protocols
  • Maintain an understanding of cGMP and compliance in a manufacturing setting
  • Generate policies and procedures to standardize maintenance across the site
  • Interface with all departments, including Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, SHE, and Validation for maintenance requirements and implementation
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Aware of core engineering disciplines and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload with competing priorities and drive teams and suppliers to complete commitments and projects in a timely manner
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and graphs, and expertise with word-processing and presentation software
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Work Environment

This job operates in a pilot plant and laboratory setting, with the possibility of work around organic solvents and caustic materials. The employee must be able to walk, sit, or stand for a minimum of 8 hours and move throughout production areas on uneven surfaces, climb ladders and/or stairs, and be exposed to outside weather conditions for extended periods.
