PositionSummary: Engineers for Avanti provide the technical expertise and support for thedevelopment, design implementation and maintenance of mechanical and productionsystems with a view toward improving production efficiency and plantreliability, reducing manufacturing costs and improving safety standards.Perform all duties within the Company's safety, health & environmentalregulations.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities includethe following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works closely with moresenior staff.
Works on projects withminimal complexity.
Develop and lead ReliabilityAnalysis.
Performs and coordinatesRoot Cause Analysis on failed equipment and systems.
Develops and executescorrective actions to reduce equipment unplanned downtime.
Manages Avanti's CMMS.
Participates in projectinception and commissioning.
Assist in the identificationof new equipment and commissioning, start-up, installation, orqualification activities including authoring IQ/OQ/PQ protocols
Maintain an understanding of cGMP and compliance in a manufacturing setting.
Generate policies andprocedures to standardize maintenance across the site.
Interface with alldepartments: Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, SHE and Validation for maintenancerequirements and implementation.
Non-EssentialDuties:
Participate in qualitycircles for small projects on-site
Participate insustainability impact assessments for projects
Supervisory Responsibilities: Thisposition does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
B.S. degree in Mechanical or ChemicalEngineering with 2 years of relevant industry experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Aware of core engineering disciplines.
Works effectively in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize workload with competing priorities.
Expertise with any of the following: process equipment, filling or packaging equipment, cleaning validation planning and execution, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), chemical process engineering and pharmaceutical process development
Working knowledge of FDA regulations, NFPAregulations, and OSHA regulations.
Experience in collecting, analyzing, andpresenting data and recommendations to management.
Demonstrated technical/analytical skills and attention to detail.
Required to document processes followed to insure repeatabilityand verify accuracy of conclusions.
Ability to interface with all levels in the organization,including manufacturing or lab personnel and senior management
Ability to drive teams and suppliers tocomplete commitments and projects in a timely manner.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel required: pivot tables and graphs; expertise with word-processing and presentation software with proficiency in PowerPoint to create and edit presentations
Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, trending, and factor analysis.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensivevariety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealwith several abstract and concrete variables.
Self-motivated.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, theemployee is regularly required to talk, give oral instructions; listen and hearinstructions, customer and/or employee responses, etc. The position is activeand requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping all day.The employee must occasionally lift and/ormove items up to 100 pounds.
WorkEnvironment: This job operates in a pilot plant andlaboratory setting.This job operates ina construction environment. This job may require work around organic solventsand caustic materials. Ability towalk sit or stand for a minimum of 8 hours.May be required to move throughout production areas on uneven surfaces,climb ladders and/or stairs and be exposed to outside weather conditions forextended periods.
