Job Summary

Clean Earth is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of waste at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Redistribute waste in roll-off bins using a 8k telehandler forklift.
  • Line roll-off bins with plastic liners.
  • Maintain a clean work area by sweeping and hosing down floors.
  • Spot for drivers and fellow technicians.
  • Monitor 2 different waste streams as they fill up roll-off bins, and check both every 30 minutes.
  • Hose down the outside of roll-off bins as they come back from the landfill.
  • Occasionally chip hardened waste from the inside of roll-off bins.
  • Use bucket attachment for forklift to scoop out waste from overfilled bins.
  • Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations, customer policies, practices and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Must be able to slide heavy lids on and off the roll-off bins.
  • Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.
  • Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protection equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
