About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of blood products for patients in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing complex laboratory tests and procedures to determine donor-recipient compatibility
- Providing expert reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services
- Operating and maintaining a wide range of laboratory equipment
Requirements
- ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Technologist (MT)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a blood bank or reference laboratory

- A competitive hourly rate of $28-32
- A standard schedule of Wednesday to Saturday, 9 pm to 7:30 am
