Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our team at The Kraft Heinz Company. As a key member of our Process Cheese Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Salvage product from toting stations as directed, ensuring minimal waste and maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Kraft Heinz quality standards and company policies.
  • Perform various duties as directed by Line Lead or Shift Lead, including but not limited to:
    • Conducting pre-startup and start of shift checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
    • Providing break relief as needed and directed.
    • Performing and documenting required Period Cleaning in the area.
    • Communicating closely with the Filling Room to ensure seamless production flow.
    • Completing required recordkeeping on manual, computer, and other systems, including scanning into SAP if necessary.
    • Reporting and/or correcting unsafe acts or conditions.
    • Responsible for all trucking and related computer requirements, as well as proper maintenance of the fork truck and battery.
    • Setting up equipment as assigned in accordance with proper procedure.
    • Visually inspecting the flow of production, clearing jam-ups as they occur, pulling rejects, and salvaging whenever necessary.
    • Performing necessary quality checks, etc. as assigned.
    • Informing the supervisor or line tech of any machine malfunction or irregularities.
  • Comply with all company policies and general safety rules while performing job duties.
  • Observe the condition of materials and supplies.
  • Accountable for the Safety, Health, and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
  • Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem-solving, etc.
Requirements
  • Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
  • Ability to acquire a fork truck license.
  • Physical ability to perform bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead; lifts, carries, pushes, routinely pulls, and moves up to 100 pounds; holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment; and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
Working Environment

Primarily indoors, hot, and humid.
