Job Summary

GEORGIA SURGICARE, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our surgical team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Prepare exam rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Assist the physician or NP during examinations or procedures, providing exceptional patient care
  • Explain medical procedures to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment options
  • Call in prescriptions to pharmacies, ensuring timely and accurate medication delivery
  • Order and/or collect laboratory specimens, maintaining accurate records
  • Fax medical records to various offices, as requested
  • Review patient benefits, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
  • Sterilize medical instruments, maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Prepare operating/procedure rooms, ensuring they are ready for use
  • Follow all safety precautions, maintaining a safe working environment
Requirements
  • High School Graduate with 3 or more years of experience in a surgical/clinical environment
  • MA certification, with knowledge of and experience with electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • Experience with Phlebotomy required
  • Willingness to be cross-trained, with a focus on plastics and cosmetics surgery
  • Ability to close deals, with sales experience preferred
  • Bilingual in both Spanish and English languages, with proficiency in medical terminology
