About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will work closely with our offices in the NYC metropolitan area to deliver innovative solutions for complex building, energy, and utility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage MEP projects, including HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and specifications.
  • Lead the development of construction documents, including design drawings and project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions, gather information, and meet with clients.
  • Mentor junior-level staff and lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Perform project management duties, including project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal support staff to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design.
Requirements
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • NYS PE Registration preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 5-12 years of experience in designing and managing MEP projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with NYC and NYS building codes.
