Job Title: IT Facilities Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Facilities Design Engineer to join our team in Yonkers, New York. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing IT facilities and infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement IT facilities and infrastructure solutions, including data center design and engineering.
  • Coordinate with vendors for materials, services, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Schedule and implement preventative maintenance plans for all IT facilities equipment and infrastructure, documenting procedures and outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive records and reports relevant to operations, maintenance, and compliance within the industry.
  • Oversee rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring adequate coverage and response capability.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a IT infrastructure environment.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of standing for extended periods, climbing, and performing manual tasks as necessary.
  • Valid and insurable driving record.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Visio, with substantial experience in cable and fiber installation and troubleshooting.
  • Project Management: Experience with request and change management processes, as well as scheduling for preventative maintenance.
  • Safety Awareness: Ability to wear and work with various forms of personal protective equipment as required by job duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in technology or with a minimum of five years of related experience in IT Facility technology environment.
  • Prior knowledge of Mission Critical or Data Center environments is highly preferred.
  • AutoCAD certification.
Working Conditions:

This position requires flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve on-call responsibilities for emergencies.
