The Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events at Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is a key member of the hotel's leadership team, responsible for driving revenue growth and market share performance.

This strategic role involves developing and implementing sales, marketing, and events strategies to achieve the hotel's revenue goals, while also overseeing the Sales, Marketing, and Events budget and P&L.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in hotel sales, with a strong ability to interact with diverse stakeholders, develop creative marketing campaigns, and manage social media platforms.

Key responsibilities include leading advertising and marketing initiatives, attending ownership meetings, and preparing relevant documentation, as well as developing and implementing short-term and long-term sales, catering, and marketing strategies.

The Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events will also supervise sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff, and monitor and train staff on the group and transient contractual agreement process.

Proficiency in utilizing and managing various sales and revenue systems/programs is essential, as is a strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillset.

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin features 246 guestrooms, 5,500 sq ft. of dedicated and flexible meeting space, along with two exciting F&B concepts including an 8th floor rooftop bar. Guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows offering unmatched views of the Texas Capitol, UT Stadium, and growing Austin skyline.

The 31st floor is the home of the Artist's Residence, a 1,400sq ft suite and event space with an outdoor terrace. The hotel's boho-chic residential design reflects Austin's rich history in music and arts, with the common areas showcasing diverse local artists and guestrooms featuring iconic images from the historic neighboring Paramount Theatre.

Key qualifications include 5 years or more of progressive hotel Sales experience, demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds, and proficiency with computers as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and the internet.
