Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Production Operations Leader to enhance our dynamic co-packing facility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and refine safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity across various departments. Key Responsibilities

Safety Oversight:

  • Formulate and implement safety protocols and guidelines to cultivate a secure working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety evaluations, inspections, and training to foster a culture of safety awareness.
  • Investigate incidents, pinpoint root causes, and enact corrective measures to avert future occurrences.

  • Establish and uphold quality assurance processes to guarantee product consistency and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Monitor quality metrics, analyze data for trends, and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to refine quality standards and procedures.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure adherence to quality regulations.

Efficiency and Productivity Enhancement:

  • Devise strategies to streamline production processes, boost efficiency, and minimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Analyze production metrics and implement enhancements to improve productivity.
  • Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to optimize workflow.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to initiate continuous improvement projects.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and support the operations team, promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Set clear performance objectives, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training needs and create development programs to elevate team skills.
  • Ensure effective interdepartmental communication to achieve operational goals.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices related to safety and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address compliance matters and implement necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience in operations management within a manufacturing or packaging context.

  • Proven ability to analyze data and implement process enhancements.
