Operating across 7 states and expanding, we prioritize a people-first approach combined with cutting-edge technology, emphasizing transparency and efficiency. Our mission is to eliminate car accidents by equipping students with the skills to become safe and confident drivers for life.
Role Overview:
- Utilizing a company-provided vehicle, you will instruct and guide students in mastering the essential skills of operating a vehicle.
- We will support you in acquiring the necessary state driving instructor certification through our comprehensive paid training program, which includes detailed coursework and guidance from our training team.
- All lessons are conducted in a Coastline vehicle, equipped with a dashboard camera to ensure the safety of both the instructor and the student.
- Most driving lesson requests occur during afternoons and weekends, aligning with the school schedules of our students. A typical workday may involve three, two-hour lessons.
- The training program encompasses 60 hours of education, including 40 hours of at-home reading and modules, along with 20 hours of practical behind-the-wheel training.
- In-person training will take place in a Coastline vehicle within your local area.
- You will observe 3 in-car lessons and complete 3 sessions of 4 hours each with a Certified Trainer.
- Delivering practical instruction on all facets of driving.
- Educating students on traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
- Assisting students in building confidence in their driving abilities.
- Teaching students how to maintain control of the vehicle in emergency situations.
- Tracking and reporting on students' progress.
- Maintaining effective communication with supervisors and support teams.
- Exhibiting professionalism in interactions with students and colleagues.
- Participating in team meetings for ongoing updates and professional development.
- A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and helping others learn.
- The ability to remain composed in a learning environment.
- A valid State Driver's License in the state of employment.
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Capability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and reference verifications.
- A minimum of 10 years of legal driving experience.
- A strong focus on safety and sound judgment.
- Proficiency in providing clear instructions and effective communication.
- Ability to maintain focus for extended periods.
- Must be able to sit for extended durations in a vehicle.
- Must possess the ability to see and hear under various weather conditions.
- Must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, and performing tactile tasks.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
