Position Overview:
The Finance Department at Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. is in search of a Treasury Analyst. This role is pivotal in ensuring the precise and timely management of daily treasury and cash operations, alongside the oversight, reporting, accounting, and analysis of the organization’s cash and investment assets. Key responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate essential internal reports for management, including weekly cash position updates and investment portfolio summaries.
• Support daily bank reconciliations and the recording of miscellaneous transactions.
• Aid in the preparation of cash flow forecasts by verifying the completeness of recorded transactions, evaluating the validity of assumptions, and collaborating with key stakeholders across departments.
• Conduct daily assessments and monitoring of cash balances.
• Maintain ongoing communication with treasury and banking partners to resolve any issues and ensure objectives are achieved.
• Investigate and recommend new investment and cash management strategies as necessary.
• Stay informed on market and treasury developments.
• Ensure adherence to operational protocols.
• Participate in the premium collection process and related activities.
• Manage operational transactions within Workday.
• Prepare monthly investment reconciliations and make necessary accounting adjustments for investments.
• Compile a list of securities for third-party estimates of current expected credit losses (CECL) on a quarterly basis.
• Record CECL journal entries quarterly based on third-party assessments.
• Develop investment presentations for quarterly board meetings.
• Analyze investment income projections from external portfolio managers, comparing them with internal forecasts.
• Additional responsibilities may include assisting with investment accounting, unclaimed property reporting, 1099 reporting, and conducting investment research and due diligence.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational capabilities, demonstrate professional skepticism, and thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks. The candidate must prioritize effectively to meet deadlines, ensuring all work is completed accurately and punctually. Attention to detail is crucial. Specific qualifications include:
• Education and Certifications
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
o Graduate degree is advantageous.
o Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience
o Ideally 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a financial or analytical capacity.
o Solid understanding of treasury, banking, and accounting principles.
o Experience with transactional and analytical tasks.
o Familiarity with banking systems, platforms, and products.
o Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
o Strong time management and communication abilities.
• Technical Skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Experience with Workday G/L, Clearwater Analytics, Workiva Wdesk, and Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
