We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team at The Bancroft School in Mt Laurel, NJ. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism and disabilities, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Teacher in planning and implementing classroom instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide individualized support to students, promoting social skills, daily living skills, and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Teacher to establish a safe and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging positive behavior and social interactions.
  • Assist with the assessment and development of individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring students receive targeted support and accommodations.
  • Monitor student progress, tracking behavior and academic performance to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and families.
  • A passion for working with individuals with autism and disabilities, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
