Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Research Administration and Finance Manager at Northside Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research administration, finance, and compliance, with a proven track record of managing complex research projects and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will be responsible for providing expert-level knowledge and financial oversight for clinical research conducted at Northside Hospital, including clinical research supported by federal funding, foundation grants, industry sponsors, and Northside Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, including clinical program leadership, investigators, and contract research organizations. They will also have a strong understanding of federal clinical and billing regulations affecting clinical trials and medical research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative and financial operations within the Central Research Department, including contracting, budgeting, accounting, and research billing and compliance.
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for research to ensure quality and compliance in the Northside Hospital research program.
  • Work with the Research Program Director to identify areas for improvement within the Research Department and develop and implement new processes, systems, and tools.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for research billing compliance and ensure compliance within Northside Hospital.
  • Manage the review, development, and maintenance of Northside Hospital's Research Financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical research.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, a health-related field, or business.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a healthcare finance environment, with two years at a supervisor or manager level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal clinical and billing regulations affecting clinical trials and medical research.
