DuPont Electronics and Imaging is seeking a Run Plant Engineer in our LairdTM division. E&I is a premier global supplier of enabling materials for applications in consumer electronics, flat-panel displays, and telecommunications. LairdTM supports the integrated circuit fabrication industry with a comprehensive range of technologies utilized by leading semiconductor manufacturers.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Leader, the Run Plant Engineer will serve as a technical resource, coaching and assisting the operations team to enhance Environmental, Health & Safety standards, production efficiency, product quality, and supply reliability. This role also acts as a technical advisor for operations personnel, applying expertise to optimize plant processes, resolve operational challenges, and facilitate safe and efficient production of high-quality, cost-effective products.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Comprehend all relevant process technologies, equipment, and control systems. Collaborate with technical advisors and plant personnel to optimize operations in alignment with business, site, and plant objectives (including Environmental Health and Safety, production, cost, quality, energy, and reliability).

+ Provide leadership and expertise in diagnosing and driving improvements in plant Raw Material Efficiency, focusing on yield, waste reduction, and other performance metrics.

+ Participate in advanced troubleshooting and Root Cause Investigations, coaching others to develop these skills and ensuring documentation for future reference.

+ Offer guidance and direction in daily decision-making within the operational area of responsibility.

+ Network with fellow engineers on-site and within the business to leverage knowledge on plant operations, maximizing production, improvement, site optimization, and reliability.

+ Ensure compliance with Operating Discipline requirements.

+ Support and mentor plant roles in the creation, review, update, and approval of procedures as assigned.

+ Communicate technical information and issues to plant personnel and technology centers as necessary.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering discipline (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).

+ 1-5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience in a process-oriented manufacturing environment.

+ Strong skills in Statistical Process Control.

+ Solid technical, teamwork, and basic financial knowledge and skills.
