Clean Harbors is currently looking for a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Class B Driver Trainee). This position will involve training to operate a Class B box truck, providing on-site service for parts washer equipment, collecting containerized hazardous waste, and promoting products/services along a designated route. Clean Harbors will cover the costs for you to obtain your CDL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures
  • Visit approximately 10-12 customer locations daily
  • Replace 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions
  • Service parts washer machines and clear sediment from sinks
  • Promote additional services at customer sites and generate new leads
  • Provide service to automotive repair shops, fleets, and manufacturing businesses
  • Complete scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups punctually
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other regulatory requirements
  • Follow all company environmental health and safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class B CDL
  • Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required by the position
  • Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical examination
  • Compliance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard regarding facial hair
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Prior commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
