The Director of Technology & Technical Operations is responsible for providing strategic direction, engineering, and day-to-day management of network engineering and operations personnel at Burlington Telecom.

The successful candidate will be familiar with employing fiber to the premises and wireless telecommunication technologies to improve operations and business development opportunities.

Key responsibilities include developing and refining the management strategy for the department, applying engineering principles to solve operational and network challenges, and tracking and reporting on key trends to senior leadership in workforce management.

The Director will also negotiate short and long-term contracts with vendors, monitor cost effectiveness and performance of vendors against negotiated SOWs/SLAs, and lead oversight of production and quality assurance related to construction, splicing, and safety in accordance with standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Additionally, the Director will develop, track, and maintain production and quality metrics for personnel, work with Dispatch, Customer Service, Network Engineering & Operations, and Field Operations teams to increase efficiencies and reduce customer experience issues, and share best practices across areas.

The successful Director of Technology & Technical Operations will have experience working in fiber broadband environments, implementing telecommunication network technologies, and proven project management experience with complex parameters/scopes.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, and excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
