Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring product quality and maintaining shop floor quality control
  • Assisting and training less experienced quality assurance technicians
  • Performing all duties of an inspector, including first piece inspection and auditing of stock and return goods
  • Designing specialized gages and performing complex inspections
  • Coordinating Material Review Board activity and completing monthly reports on scrap and rework
  • Acting as the Lead Auditor for internal audits
  • Directing the work of other quality assurance technicians
  • Calibrating all needed gages and equipment
  • Evaluating non-nettable inventory and resolving issues
  • Conducting root cause investigations on reoccurring issues
  • Leading inspection projects related to new product development and processes
  • Maintaining timely and accurate records and reports

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5-10 years' experience as a Quality Assurance Technician
  • Supervisor/Lead experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with management
  • CMM and other advanced measurement training is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple demands
  • High energy and sense of urgency in responding to customer needs
  • High level of personal and professional integrity
