We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Travel Nurse to join our team at AMN Healthcare Nursing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in Johnson City, New York, and provide high-quality care to patients facing cancer diagnosis and treatment.
About the JobAs an Oncology Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, administering chemotherapy and other medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans. Your expertise and experience will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapy and other medications to patients with cancer diagnoses
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on cancer treatment and management
- Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Current NY RN license
- EPIC experience within the last year
- Chemo certification
- IV insertion and management skills
- PICC/Central Line management
- Epidural/PCA pump management
- Feeding tube insertion and management
- Wound vac management
- Travel experience
- CPAP/BiPAP, Vascular Device Access/Care, Chemo Administration experience
