We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Healthwaze, a leading rehabilitation center dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to patients on their path to recovery.

Job Summary

The Medical Care Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to inpatient rehabilitation patients under the supervision of a physician. This role involves conducting patient rounds, assessing patient conditions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily patient rounds to assess patient conditions and progress.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the physician.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and social workers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Licensed and certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of Iowa
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation a plus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
