Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Project Architect to join our team at Placement By Design in Dallas. As a key member of our architecture firm, you will be responsible for the overall execution and efficient development of one or more significant healthcare projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage the project team members' day-to-day assignments, ensuring the quality and timeliness of the execution of the work.
  • Client Relations: Support the Project Manager in maintaining client rapport and satisfaction, protecting the firm's liability exposure to the fullest extent possible.
  • Design and Documentation: Assist in design charrettes, perform and coordinate quality assurance reviews at appropriate stages in the development of the design and documentation.
  • Project Implementation: Work with the Project Manager to monitor project status, convey problems and suggested solutions to the Project Manager, and determine action plans in concert with the Project Manager.
  • Communication: Responsible for day-to-day communications with the Project Manager, consultants, and government agencies, making appearances before client groups, building departments, and other government agencies as required.
  • Meetings and Coordination: Organize, prepare for, and run meetings, assist with the development of the building program, design concepts, and synthesis.
  • Specifications and Materials: Develop and coordinate specifications, coordinate and implement the selection of materials, colors, and finishes to maintain the design intent.
  • Value Analysis: Participate in value analysis activities required to keep the project within the owner's project budget.
  • Constructability and Code Compliance: Jointly responsible for constructability, code compliance, and coordination with government agencies with the Project Designer.
  • Construction Documents: Responsible for accuracy and completeness of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines.
  • QAQC and Administration: Continuously review drawings and specifications, obtain QAQC review and signature, and administer or supervise construction contract administration services.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience managing the development of healthcare projects.
  • Experience coordinating consultants, specifications, managing production staff, and project schedules.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional degree in architecture.
  • Licensed or pursuing licensure.
  • Proficient with Revit and Microsoft Office (required).
  • Proficient with Photoshop (preferred).
  • Excellent written, oral, and graphic communication skills.
  • Displays consistency, dependability, reliability, and accuracy, along with high attention to detail and client focus.
