Project Architect Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Project Architect to join our team at Placement By Design in Dallas. As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for the overall execution and efficient development of one or more significant healthcare projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project team members' day-to-day assignments
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of project execution
  • Support the Project Manager in maintaining client rapport and satisfaction
  • Protect the firm's liability exposure to the fullest extent possible
  • Coordinate and maintain project logs and files
  • Assist in design charrettes
  • Perform and coordinate quality assurance reviews at appropriate stages in the development of the design and documentation
  • Work with the Project Manager to monitor project status and convey problems and suggested solutions to the Project Manager and determine action plans
  • Responsible for day-to-day communications with the Project Manager, consultants, and government agencies
  • Able to organize, prepare for, and run meetings
  • Assist with the development of the building program, design concepts, and synthesis
  • Initiate the design and development of building systems and details
  • Develop and coordinate specifications
  • Coordinate and implement the selection of materials, colors, and finishes to maintain the design intent
  • Participate in value analysis activities required to keep the project within the owner's project budget
  • Jointly responsible for constructability, code compliance, and coordination with government agencies
  • Responsible for accuracy and completeness of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines
  • Continuously review drawings and specifications and obtain QAQC review and signature
  • Assist the Project Manager in bidding/negotiation activities and answer inquiries from bidders and coordinate the issuance of Addenda
  • Administer or supervise construction contract administration services

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience managing the development of healthcare projects
  • Experience coordinating consultants, specifications, managing production staff, and project schedules
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional degree in architecture
  • Licensed or pursuing licensure
  • Proficient with Revit and Microsoft Office (required)
  • Proficient with Photoshop (preferred)
  • Excellent written, oral, and graphic communication skills
  • Displays consistency, dependability, reliability, and accuracy, along with high attention to detail and client focus
