ITS Network Deployment Technician

As an ITS Network Deployment Technician, you'll play a critical role in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure that supports business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough analysis and troubleshooting of connectivity and bandwidth issues to ensure seamless network performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration files and documentation for all network infrastructure, ensuring efficient system management.
  • Develop meticulous skills in wire management, labeling, and remote site installations to ensure high-quality network deployments.
  • Support and troubleshoot complex layer 2 networks, providing prompt and effective problem resolution.
  • Act as a key point of contact for system outages, changes, inquiries, and requests, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 network support and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience deploying network hardware, with a strong background in Cisco IOS and Ruckus/Brocade.
  • Prior experience with OTDR testing and fiber certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to all owned facilities for deployments and investigations, with a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk on uneven terrain, with a willingness to adapt to changing work environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA Network certification, with a strong understanding of routing, port security, mapping, spanning tree, and intrusion prevention.
