Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and component inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer systems.
  • Replace defective components and perform facility maintenance duties as required.
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions.
  • Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation to track work and maintain records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check.
