Position Overview:

Ardent Services is looking for an Infrastructure Systems Specialist to become a vital part of our team supporting various government initiatives.

This role involves a focus on the provisioning, protection, and upkeep of system infrastructure. Operating within an Agile framework, the selected candidate will manage IT infrastructure, troubleshoot system configurations, resolve defects, and implement technical solutions. Additionally, providing security support by addressing system configurations and vulnerabilities will be essential.

In specific situations, you will have the chance to create data-driven solutions utilizing front-end and back-end programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, Java, and Python to support operations and security initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding IT systems frameworks, ensuring optimal architecture design, and collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver exceptional IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with system architects and IT specialists to develop and implement IT solutions focused on security controls and server configurations.
  • Provide expert guidance in the design and implementation of system infrastructure.
  • Administer servers by upgrading operating systems and software components in accordance with established change management processes.
  • Coordinate with relevant organizations to address significant system issues, including outages or degradation of critical capabilities.
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of security controls following established guidelines and policies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for enterprise systems.
  • Provide expertise in managing cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Address security vulnerabilities as they arise.
  • Update system configurations to align with new security requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal guidelines for security classification.
  • Support system security by implementing authentication, identity management, and encryption protocols.
  • Work with the Information System Security Officer and other units to mitigate system risks.
  • Assist in providing documentation and test results to achieve necessary approvals for new information system infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance.
  • 2+ years of experience in operating and maintaining complex system architectures.
  • Proven experience with Windows IT systems and applications.
  • Proficient in addressing system security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure in terms of cloud security and architecture.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system architecture defects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Programming and scripting experience with languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Experience in deploying architecture and conducting business process analysis.
  • Experience with data querying using PostgreSQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cloud+, CISSP, or CCNA.
