A-C Equipment Services, a division of thyssenkrupp Polysius North America, Inc., focuses on the design, production, installation, and maintenance of rotary kilns. Our clientele spans various sectors, including cement production, paper manufacturing, and mineral processing across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

The Site Operations Manager oversees supervisory tasks at the tkIS location. This role entails organizing, directing, assessing, and managing field repair operations to align with both company and client standards, specifications, timelines, and financial plans.

Core Duties:

  • Supervise field mechanics and welding teams engaged in repair activities.
  • Maintain safety protocols within the workplace.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, engineers, and project managers to meet expectations and objectives.
  • Conduct site inspections.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work scopes and service projects.
  • Provide clear instructions to field support teams regarding necessary equipment and supplies for upcoming repair tasks.
  • Schedule and coordinate services required for repair projects, including crane operations and rental equipment.
  • Be available for overtime and weekend work as project demands dictate.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to safety practices.

Supervisory Role:
This position entails direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience Requirements:
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with 5 years of relevant experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical data and drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Quick and decisive problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to comprehend and convey complex technical concepts.
  • A valid US driver's license is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in supervising field service or repair activities in cement, paper, or mineral processing industries.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a construction setting, preferably in cement, paper, or mining.
  • Commitment to safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
  • Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated initiative and decisiveness.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Travel Requirements:

  • Annual travel may reach up to 75% or more.
  • This role necessitates extensive travel across the United States, often requiring several weeks of travel with 12-hour shifts, seven days a week.
