Job Summary

As a key member of the SITE Staffing team, the Extrusion Machine Operator will be responsible for producing high-quality plastic materials in accordance with production schedules. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Extrusion Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning within established parameters.
  • Produce Goods to Customer Specifications: Meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and quantity.
  • Accurately Complete Paperwork: Maintain accurate records of production metrics and quality control measures.
  • Follow Production Schedule: Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
  • Ensure Quality Product: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that only high-quality products are packaged and shipped.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance and support to colleagues to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Comply with Quality Control Manual: Adhere to all aspects of the Quality Control Manual to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Work Schedule:

The Extrusion Machine Operator will work a rotating shift schedule, including 6PM - 6AM, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday - Friday. Training will be provided for day shifts, which operate from 6:00am - 4:00pm or 6:00am - 6:00pm.

Compensation and Benefits:

The Extrusion Machine Operator will receive a competitive hourly rate of $16.00/hour, plus benefits.

Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) months packing experience and six (6) months experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for up to 10 hours, and read a tape measure.
  • Skills: Basic English, math, and communication skills, as well as the ability to use a gauge, staple gun, and saw.
  • Education: GED or High School Diploma.
  • Identification: Valid WI ID.
