  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside fellow associates to foster a robust meat department; maintain open communication with team members; and adapt to the business's needs by supporting other areas as necessary.
  • Product Expertise: Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of in-store operations, backroom processes, product safety protocols, sanitation standards, inventory management, and the proper handling, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment; prepare meat products (e.g., cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) in accordance with established guidelines; cut boneless meat items; and uphold product quality standards.
  • Technology Utilization: Employ digital tools to enhance sales, improve the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement; use handheld technology to make prompt business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the customer in mind; adapt to new technologies and encourage others to do the same.
  • Operational Ownership: Commit to operational excellence by maintaining your work area in line with company policies and procedures; ensure quality and date control standards for meat products; safeguard delicate and high-shrink items; minimize waste; assist members with their purchasing choices; and ensure that products are correctly packaged, labeled, and stored per company policies and procedures.
  • Department Advocacy: Champion the department and the club by prioritizing the member's experience in the meat section and exemplifying high-quality service and products; execute foundational tasks at the highest possible quality level; and demonstrate enthusiasm, dedication, and passion for the work.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by implementing relevant action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and applying these principles in executing business processes and practices.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00*

*The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be available, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances. Premiums may depend on schedule, facility, season, or specific tasks performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
