Climate Resilience Initiative Director

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our climate resilience initiatives, focusing on equitable solutions for vulnerable communities.
Job SummaryThe Climate Resilience Initiative Director will oversee the development and implementation of programs that support local and regional leaders in addressing climate change. This includes a year-long leadership development program and a two-year Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund Accelerator.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute strategies to strengthen community investment systems and address climate change.
- Oversee the California Climate Leaders Fellowship, providing support to faculty and staff, and identifying opportunities for coordinated action.
- Lead the launch and execution of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund Accelerator, collaborating with project developers, community groups, and evaluators.
- Develop and manage program budgets and work plans to maximize impact.
- Supervise program staff and create a productive team culture.
- Deep experience in community and/or climate finance, with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including cultural competence and ability to convey complex concepts.
- Familiarity with climate justice themes, practices, and legislation.
- Knowledge of community development actors and the capital absorption framework.
- Highly developed coaching skills and fluency in anti-racist practices.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience leading community change efforts.
