Job Summary

As a skilled Software Engineer for Argo Teller Platform, you will be responsible for owning the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment, application, or platform. You will collaborate with the engineering team to plan, estimate, design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based business applications, including the Argo Teller 21 application and interfaces with various peripherals such as ECR, Check scanners, and printers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently develop clean, maintainable, testable code for work assigned; perform peer code reviews.
  • Participate in the overall health, performance, and availability of systems and actively work on the resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
  • Package and support deployment of releases.
  • Embrace mentorship and training from senior engineers.
  • Provide continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency.
  • Apply recommended information security standards when developing code and seek to validate.
  • Assess the technical viability of new and emerging products and technologies.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for developing code.
  • Identify potential standards and best practices.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in software development and ability to learn Argo.
  • Preferred minimum 5 years of Argo experience ideally in Teller platform.
  • Experience with traditional client/server architecture (ideally Argo/Bankpro experience); Argo web/API experience is a plus.
  • Experience in developing interfaces for Argo Teller platform with CAD devices, Check imaging software, Electronic Cash recycler machines is ideal.
  • Experience working with Alogent Front Counter is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational databases.
  • Experience working with SOAP and RESTFUL web services.
  • Experience working with shell scripts or Visual Basic.
  • Experience working with Web methods, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Azure Dev/Ops, XML, C#, and .Net is a plus.
  • Must be open to supporting production issue analysis and resolution and on-call rotation.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
  • Experience in Banking/Financial Industry is a plus.
  • Ability to trouble shoot software and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter and driven.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
