Job Description:

As a Senior Software Development Specialist at Mindlance, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex software applications. Your expertise in Archer GRC Integrated Risk Management Configuration/Development will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of on-prem software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop software programs, files, and systems in collaboration with clients and business analysts for medium to large projects.

Oversee and verify the development work of less experienced team members, ensuring high-quality results.

Define and conduct system tests, verify correctness, and oversee the testing of lesser experienced team members.

Deploy software applications within the department, investigating the implementation of application software principles.

Additional Responsibilities:

Act as a Subject Matter Expert for multiple applications or significant depth in an application, providing technical guidance to business analysts and system architects.

Identify better sources of data feeds and interfaces with architects to ensure feasibility with the corporate data warehouse, when needed.

Create sound and usable technical requirements documentation and assist others in preparing the same.

Develop prototypes and explain them to business stakeholders and other technology resources.

Leverage domain knowledge to provide additional capabilities that can be delivered within scope.

Coordinate the correction of defects found in all testing cycles and assist other team members in completing tasks.

Ensure requirements are traceable from original design to final deliverable by providing valuable input in a timely manner and providing a final sign-off.

Ensure the team completes unit testing cycles within expected defect tolerances and timeframes as established by ETS and Project Manager, respectively.

Document functions and changes to new or modified modules and test activities/results, as well as other areas such as error handling and backup/recovery procedures.

Oversee the creation of technical requirements and create appropriate system documentation, communicating it to the appropriate parties in a clear and timely fashion.

Coordinate with Application Owners to prepare modules for production by moving them to libraries, completing forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc.

Complete appropriate system documentation clearly and effectively, communicating to multiple groups.

Communicate when development tasks could be at risk and work with the Project Manager to mitigate the risks.

Mentor others in assigned development tasks to stay within schedule and budget.

Advocate and mentor others within own team and other teams on the components of the Project Management Lifecycle.
