Job Summary

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) is a key role at Planet Fitness - Glow Brands, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our members, prospective members, and guests. This position requires a strong passion for fitness and health, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a positive experience at our club.
  • Front Desk Operations: Handle all front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, new member sign-ups, and taking prospective members on tours.
  • Account Management: Facilitate updates to member accounts, respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, and escalate issues to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
  • Club Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members and guests.
  • Shift Closing: Close shift for the business day, creating a bank deposit for the next day.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Background: Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills required.
  • Passion for Fitness and Health: A genuine passion for fitness and health is essential.
  • Upbeat and Positive Attitude: A positive and upbeat attitude is required to interact with members and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are must-haves for this role.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers.
  • Strong Listener: A strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem-solve is essential.
  • Diplomacy: Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
  • Education: High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Talking: Continual talking with members and staff in person or on the phone during shift.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work 3rd shift (overnights).
  • Lifting: Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Chemical Exposure: Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift (training and protective equipment provided to ensure safety).
