Job Title: Mobile Diesel Service Technician

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is a leading provider of heavy-duty truck repair and maintenance services. We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Diesel Service Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Mobile Diesel Service Technician will be responsible for performing routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a positive can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components.
  • Develop relationships with customers to achieve labor sales quota and increase sales to assigned accounts in a designated territory.
  • Analyze customer operations for opportunities to increase service sales in the given territory.
  • Follow safe work practices and procedures, use safety equipment when required, and respond to suggestions for working safely.
  • Maintain favorable relations with customers.
  • Create and close repair orders in the MHC business system to document the repair work performed and the time spent completing the repair.
  • Control business expenses within the approved expense budget and be responsible for tooling and parts inventory on the service truck.
  • Oversee operations of assigned customers in territory and call upon key accounts regularly.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years' heavy duty truck repair experience.
  • A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required. Engine and Component certifications are a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working with little supervision.
  • Must have a commitment to customer satisfaction and perform quality repairs.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
  • Class A or B CDL and/or DOT medical card may be required depending upon the size of the mobile service vehicle.
