Job Summary:

The Sr Diesel Technician will provide safe and reliable vehicles and equipment to all customer segments while maintaining a technical focus for solutions to complex problems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, fluid powering or hybrid applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
  • Perform maintenance and repairs to vehicles and equipment
  • Communicate indirectly with vendors to test products and technical services
  • Communicate with customers on vehicle and equipment status
  • Apply logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Requirements:
  • High School Grad/GED
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Valid Driver's License (Non CDL)
  • Current Medium Duty/Heavy Duty Truck ASE Master Certification
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker "N" Endorsement or must attain within 12 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or certification from an accredited university within a related field (e.g. Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology)
  • Mobile Crane Inspector Certification
  • FS Fluid Power Mobile Hydraulic Mechanic Certification
  • Automotive Air Conditioning Certification
