Aquatic Program Assistant

The City of Durham is seeking an experienced Aquatic Program Assistant to assist with the delivery of swimming lessons and programs in a pool environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatic education and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the planning and delivery of swimming lessons and programs.
- Provide support to instructors with lesson preparation and class management.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for participants.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with program participants, staff, and community members.
- Current certification as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or equivalent.
- Valid Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED with Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto Injector Certification.
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- At least 16 years of age.
