Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Remington & Vernick Engineers. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for designing and managing various infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, public buildings, and recreational facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in municipal engineering, with experience in project management, design, and construction. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions to meet their infrastructure challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the client manager for one or more municipalities or public agencies, serving as the single point of contact between the firm and the client.
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure.
  • Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures using computer-assisted design or drawing tools.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.
  • Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
  • Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to make public presentations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions to present to co-workers and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design software.
  • Ability to work in groups as well as individually.
  • Ability to mentor younger or less experienced staff.
