Job Title: Sr. R&D Technician



Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. R&D Technician to join our team at MillenniumSoft. The successful candidate will assist engineers with product development projects, provide technical support, and work closely with the Systems Engineering team.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical support to engineers on various technical tasks.
  • Build or assemble prototype materials, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
  • Ensure work is carried out efficiently and safely, following standard practices.
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
  • Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis.
  • Scope equipment for use and complete qualifications.
  • Notify manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project or experimental setup.
  • Develop prototype processes and test set-ups.
  • Support characterization and testing of prototype and pilot systems.
  • Produce engineering documents, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).


Qualifications and Skills:



  • Hands-on experience with test equipment.
  • Familiarity with electronics prototyping, including reading schematics, soldering, and rework.
  • Experience using basic mechanical tools.
  • Basic knowledge of data acquisition.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Physically able to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Proficiency in the English Language.
  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience, with 5+ years of experience in an R&D environment.
