Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team in Hazel Crest, Illinois. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a comprehensive array of abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts procedures, demonstrating expertise in anatomy and technical skills.
- Accurately recognize and document critical findings, such as deep vein thrombosis, ectopic pregnancy, and aortic aneurysms or dissection.
- Assist physicians during procedures, such as amniocentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and cath lab procedures.
- Assess arterial circulation using pulse doppler, duplex imaging, and physiologic indirect testing.
- Document patient history and images for analysis and interpretation.
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within 3 months.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Associates degree in Allied Health or Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Science.
- 1 year experience in Abdomen and OB/GYN.
- 1 year experience in Vascular exams.
