Retail Sales Associate

At Office Depot, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our team. As a Sales Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our retail stores.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by performing duties as cashier, providing logistics support, stocking, restocking, down stocking, inventory control, cleaning the store, and protecting company assets.
- Merchandise Management: Perform merchandise-related activities to ensure merchandise presentation guidelines are met through implementing plan-o-gram changes and updates, merchandise set and price changes. Set weekly ads, including price changes, and any associated updates to store signage.
- Inventory Management: Follow the established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes. Ensure freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines. Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
- Sales and Service: Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to ensure a positive customer experience. Utilize and understand the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional product and/or services solutions. Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
- Problem-Solving: Evaluate the customer's needs to determine what additional offerings or services that a customer may need in addition to determining if a customer should be referred to the Contract Sales organization.
- Professional Development: Work to develop personal selling skills and specialized product knowledge through sales and service tools provided. Drive Technology, Tech Services, Furniture and Print sales by supporting all related current programs, new product launches and special initiatives.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices and supports company loss prevention efforts.
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent education is preferred. Retail sales experience preferred. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, which are necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers and other employees.
You will be eligible to participate in the Retail Store Hourly Non-Management Incentive - a program measured on Store-level Metrics; paid in accordance with the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.
