**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Network Engineering Professional to join our team at ZipRecruiter. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and documenting test automation software for communication networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and run Ethernet tests, ensuring high-speed network connectivity and reliability.
  • Develop Python command line tools for automating hardware configuration, test environment setup, and test execution.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and Systems engineers to develop module, system, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
  • Document software to make it easily accessible to others within and outside the team.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in networking, with a strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
  • Experience testing networking firmware and hardware using Python or C/C++.
  • Familiarity with Network Traffic generators and knowledge of PTP/ARP/ICMP/SNMP/TFTP/SCP/SSH/RSTP protocols.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, IP addressing, subnetting, and network security in Linux.
