Job Title: IT Network Engineer

Salary Range: $79,800 to $114,103

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced IT Network Engineer to join Hyundai Autoever America in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure.

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Detecting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN malfunctions
  • Implementing, managing, and maintaining IPS/IDS systems to protect our organization from security breaches and cyber threats
  • Configuring and managing NAC systems to ensure secure access to the network by authorized endpoints
  • Maintaining Change Management and other procedures
  • Documenting network procedures and system configurations
  • Installing, maintaining, and configuring Cisco routers/switches, firewall, VPN, VLANs
  • Installing, maintaining, and configuring Cisco VoIP phone systems and voice mail systems
  • Monitoring and resolving LAN/WAN performance, health, and security issues
  • Installing, maintaining, and configuring all wireless networks
  • Installing, maintaining, and configuring domain/SSL/solution certificates
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining all LAN/WAN hardware and cabling
  • Participating in Network Operations planning
  • Supporting all Administrators and developers as required
  • Developing, testing, and analyzing new technical solutions to problems
  • Maintaining current inventory of all Network assets, purchase history, and warranty data
  • Installing, maintaining, and configuring all voice and data communication circuits
  • Performing disaster recovery of all network systems
  • Performing backup and restores of network systems
  • Implementing policies to ensure the security and integrity of the network
  • Holding hands-on technical expertise in EDR/NDR/XDR solutions, endpoint protection tools, web filtering solutions, perimeter defense solutions, Privileged Access Management solutions, and SIEM technologies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science (preferred)
  • 8+ years of IT experience
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VOIP, and other networking protocols
  • Experience working with SolarWinds including IPAM and NMS modules
  • F5 LTM load balancing knowledge, SSL termination, and bridging
  • Cloud vendor networking experience with AWS, Oracle, and Azure
  • Knowledge of Business Resumption Planning and Disaster Recovery
  • Understanding of ITIL service management concepts for incident, problem, and change management

Recommended Certifications and Skill sets:

Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Cisco ACI certifications are preferred, but not required.
