MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at East Cobb Health Park. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. You will work closely with our radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures on patients, including positioning, scanning, and image acquisition
- Operate MRI equipment, including scanners, consoles, and accessories
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and imaging results
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure optimal imaging quality and patient safety
- Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training
- Successful completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-R certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients, preferably in an MRI clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
- ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification
- Basic Life Support certification
- Experience with MRI equipment and software, including scanners, consoles, and accessories
- Experience with patient care and safety protocols, including infection control and patient positioning
