About the Role

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (CHCA) is seeking a dedicated and visionary leader to serve as the Principal of our Upper School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in upholding our Christ-centered mission and ensuring academic excellence in our Upper School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Articulate and Promote the School's Mission: Effectively communicate the school's mission, vision, and core values to students, parents, and staff.
  • Foster a Positive School Culture: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects our Christian values.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Academic Programs: Analyze student performance and academic programs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support and Mentor Teachers: Provide guidance and resources to enhance instructional quality and support teacher growth.
  • Retain High-Quality Faculty and Staff: Attract and retain talented educators who align with our school's values.
  • Provide Ongoing Professional Development: Offer opportunities for staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a Collaborative Work Environment: Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication among staff, students, and parents.
  • Foster Strong Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
  • Address Student Behavioral and Academic Issues: Address student concerns in a fair and compassionate manner, while promoting Christian virtues and restorative practices.
  • Implement Programs for Student Growth: Develop and implement programs that support students' spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Be a Visible and Accessible Presence: Be approachable and available to students, parents, and staff.
  • Communicate Effectively: Inspire and facilitate clear and effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Engage with the Community: Build relationships with current and past parents, alumni, and the broader Cincinnati community.
  • Manage the Upper School's Budget: Effectively manage the Upper School's financial resources.
  • Represent the School: Represent CHCA in the local community and build strong partnerships with churches, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and Oversee School Events: Plan and execute school events that promote community involvement and support.
  • Evaluate and Improve School Programs: Collaborate with the Head of School to assess and improve school programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or Related Field: A degree in education or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership or administration, preferably in a Christian or private school setting.
  • Strong Leadership and Organizational Skills: Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Proficiency in Financial Management and Strategic Planning: Proficiency in financial management and strategic planning, with the ability to manage the Upper School's budget and resources.
  • Ability to Foster a Positive, Christ-Centered Educational Environment: A strong personal commitment to Christ and Christian formation, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Demonstrated Ability to Lead with Integrity, Empathy, and Vision: A demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, empathy, and vision, with a passion for education and student development.
