Position: Refugee Support Services Coordinator
Department: Refugee Services
Reports to: Assistant Program Manager, Refugee Services
Compensation: $24.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Position Overview:
The Refugee Support Services Coordinator (RSSC) will collaborate closely with clients to formulate service strategies aimed at overcoming obstacles and attaining self-sufficiency. This position necessitates ongoing communication with clients and team members to monitor progress towards employment and self-sufficiency objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate public assistance applications and evaluations
- Design self-sufficiency strategies in partnership with clients
- Provide referrals to both internal and external resources
- Maintain precise case files and documentation
- Prepare case files for evaluation
- Ensure accurate computation and documentation of client benefits
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related discipline preferred
- Experience with immigrant communities
- Knowledge of community resources
- Professional demeanor and work ethic
- Strong dedication to social equity
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Competence in utilizing technology for scheduling and communication
Certifications Needed:
- Valid California Driver's License
- Tuberculin Skin Test
- CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
This position may involve walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, and traveling to various locations.
Work Environment:
Moderate noise levels are expected in the work environment.
