About the Role

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Services Unit Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Procurement, Risk, and Property Management (PRPM) section, you will provide critical support to our operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the PRPM section, including but not limited to:
  • Copy Center/Mailroom Management
  • Fleet Management
  • Space Management
  • Meeting Room Management
  • Facilities Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Ergonomic Support Services
Requirements
  • High School degree or GED
  • Two years of experience in providing general office support, including meeting room set-up, building maintenance, copying and duplication, shuttle service, or other general support services
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office software
  • Ability to lift, push or pull equipment, machinery, furniture or supplies weighing 50 pounds or more
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in providing general office support
  • Customer Service skills
  • Ability to use small power tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of basic shipping and receiving practices
  • Inventory Management skills
