Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Inspection:
    • Assign duties and inspect work to ensure conformance to cleanliness standards.
    • Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping services and equipment, taking corrective action as needed.
    • Coordinate work activities among departments.
    • Perform cleaning duties in emergencies or staff shortages.
  • Training and Development:
    • Conduct orientation and in-service training to explain policies and procedures.
    • Establish standards and procedures for housekeeping staff.
    • Screen job applicants, hire new employees, and recommend promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
  • Inventory and Supplies Management:
    • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
    • Issue supplies and equipment to workers.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare reports on room occupancy, payroll, and department expenses.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    • Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing complaints and improving service efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience.
    • Experience managing a hotel/resort housekeeping department.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • English fluency.
    • Bilingual – Spanish (preferred).
    • Excellent communication and public relations skills.
    • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
